From a Personal and Professional Perspective
I am NOT a "native" Montanan, but my people were! I hail from Washington State, but spent four years in Nevada (three years as a REALTOR) before I found home in Montana in 1987. I like to think of myself as a returning Montanan since my grandfather Milon Garber was an accomplished violinist from Plains, Montana who played for country dances (back when folks came on horseback) and he spent some time with the Cavalry. His father Dan Garber, my great-grandfather was both a Montana State Senator and Representative from Missoula County, home town of Plains (my mom's side). There's even a "Garber" street named there for him! My father Rayburn Lincoln Brown was born in Billings where his father Ralph Waldo Brown SR owned a small town café restaurant in Laurel, Montana, and his grandmother Stoddart rests in peace in Three Forks, Montana.
Oh there's more, but I think I'll save those stories for campfire tall tale telling. It is enough to know that I came from a work ethic background and my mother Eileen Garber Brown taught her six siblings early on about how important honesty was by the old-fashioned soap method! And then my father with a middle name of Lincoln, well now that's a name to live up to, and he did.
I am not a crowd person, but I love working to find the perfect place for my clients. There is a lot more to real estate than showing homes, that's why I take a lot of extra education classes and pursue the credentials that make me a more knowledgeable professional for my clients.
To keep this from becoming a biography I will quickly summarize a large body of real estate experience that I offer my clients. I spent over 25 years as an owner-manager-investor of income properties, which included a Mobile Home Park, Medical Buildings, Apartment Complexes, Residential Properties and I planned and developed Sunn Fjord a 188 unit condominium complex in Bremerton, Washington. I was one of the directors in the Puget Sound Apartment Owner's Association for a number of years.
I have been a Helena REALTOR since 2001 and serve on several committees. I have earned my ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) CRS (Council of Residential Specialist) and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designations, plus Residential Construction Certified and Certified New Home Specialist. I have been a Broker since October 2003.
I have raised two sons, and have six stepchildren, and 16 grandchildren. My hobbies are gardening, photography, cooking, skiing (have switched to X-country) and I like reading biographies of inspirational people.
My husband Stan and I spent over 12 years publishing his reprint cartoon work Rick O'Shay, Latigo and Grass Roots and his first three novels before returning to the real estate profession. For the past fifteen years he has been writing western mystery novels, and has published seven in his highly acclaimed western mystery series (Merlin Fanshaw). The newest title is To Kill A Copper King an eighth in the writing mill (http://www.stanlynde.net). Yes, he did a historical novel on the Henry Plummer Gang along the way. His books in all of their incarnations can be found at www.amazon.com or www.barnesandnobel.com. His first love is story telling, and my first love is real estate (besides our family).
I returned full-time to real estate in 2001 (which means my husband is now authoring without my help, and doing well I might add) and I specialize in Buyer's Agenting residential, income, land and new construction services. I hope you will allow me the privilege of sharing what I consider one of the most exciting events in a person's life, and that is finding the property that suits you best. With your home, you spend the better part of each day, and if it is an income property, I have the experience and knowledge to help you locate good properties. I believe in listening to my clients and honest dialogue. I also recognize the importance of real estate as an investment whether it is your home or income property; both require careful consideration for immediate and future benefits.
Confidentiality is a given in my profession. In exchange for loyalty and honesty (mine and yours), I give my clients a 100%+ maximum effort. Write or call me with your real estate needs and I'll get right to work for you! My motto is "win win" which means I care deeply that both buyers and sellers come to a closing transaction satisfied with the outcome.
I help people find "houses," but it is my clients who make a house a home. The magic is always there for me when the perfect house matches with my clients dream. My business is referral driven, and this only happens with satisfied and continuing long-term relationships with my clients. My email is: Lynda@HelenaMontana.us.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Lynda Lynde, Broker, ABR, CRS, GRI, , Buyer's Agent Specialist |
