REGARDS HOME INSURANCE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM LYNDA LYNDE REALTY, LLC

Many clients already have relationships with insurance companies for their car insurance, and they can get quotes from these same companies.  BUT I highly recommend that clients SHOP home insurance rates with other brokers.  My favorite Helena referral is Cochrane Insurance @ 442-6700  (they are brokers who represent many insurance companies and they shop for the best rate for you).  Farm Bureau @ 442-8988 is also worthy of checking as is State Farm @ 443-0867.  Any one of these companies (and others) can consolidate a car insurance policy with a homeowner insurance policy for the best all-around low premium.  It is ALWAYS a good idea to shop insurance rates.  If a company gives a good rate in the beginning, it is not necessarily they will keep the same low introduction rate, and at such a time...it is TIME TO SHOP rates again. 

It is also a very good idea to take photos of your home and belongings from time to time and save them either offline, or at another location.  Home fires can and do happen, and as one who is a survivor of a home fire, I can attest to how quickly your memory fades in time of stress attempting to put together a comprehensive list of your belongings and their value.  Also investing in a small home fire safety box is a precaution for keeping those most valuable documents safe in case of fire or vandalism.
